JULIA DEANS / WE LIGHT FIRE

The brief required a suite of distinct imagery to apply across multiple touch points, which had to be achieved with the budgetary & time constraints of having only one day, one performer & one location for the photoshoot. The concept also needed to present Julia Deans as the strong, independent & mature voice she now is.

So we shot wide, very wide — every slight variable of framing, portrait & texture, both macro & micro and added subtle tonal variations to create a vast library of images.

We then created a flexible graphic framework that let us re-form, kaleidoscope-style, images into an infinity of combinations to express the nature of each song. Harder edges & forms for The Panic, & softer undulating forms for Clandestine.
