Space to Dream: Recent Art from South America
Auckland Art Gallery Exhibition Catalogue

The familiar South American stereotype is typically sunny, colourful and sexy — unsurprisingly the place and its art practices are much more complex. Political, bodily, visceral, chaotic and nuanced the Auckland Art Gallery‘s exhibition Space to Dream: Recent Art from South America presents a different view. This is a serious book, it deals with a variety of themes through in-depth bilingual essays and interviews that introduce Contemporary South American Art practices to  a broader audience  here in New Zealand, as well as the curators home continent.
