Auckland Art Gallery‘s inaugural annual report for the Auckland Art Gallery is targets donors and partners, with the aim to increase funding for exhibitions, acquisitions, publications, research, conservation and learning through communicating the year’s achievements — a delicate balance. Our brief was simple: “somewhere between DUSTY and SKITEY”. Inverting the notion of a gallery, a blank white book is wrapped in two featured artworks — juxtaposing NZ and international art. The use of negative space and imagery references the experience one might have navigating the gallery — or one’s memory of a show.
